How To Order

We are passionate about letterpress, beautiful papers, and good design. We can't wait to share all of these things with you. We know that wedding invitations are so very, very special, and we want to make the process as lovely as possible.

If you have any questions along the way, don't hesitate to call or email us. We're a small studio, and can take the time to answer your questions, chat about the best way to word your invitations, or even give advice on how to ask your cousin Shirley not to bring all five of her kids to your cocktail reception. We're here to help.

Order Samples

Once you've picked out the designs you like, you can order samples so you can see them in person. It's easy to order online through our ordering page, or you can call or email us for more options. We can send you up to two sample sets free of charge. After that, we charge a nominal fee for the samples (to cover shipping costs), but we'll credit it towards your invoice when you place an order.

Choose Your Design

Look over the samples, and find the one that makes you swoon. Check out our pricing page for a calculator that will help you estimate the cost of your suite. We can work with you to make our designs affordable–changing from two colors to one, removing the reply address on an envelope, or using a reply postcard instead of a reply card and envelope. We also offer a digital printing option, so you can still choose our designs even if letterpress is out of your budget. If you have any questions, give us a ring and we can lead you through.

Make it Your Own

We want your invitations to be special. Visit our customization page and choose paper and envelope color, shape of the invitation, fonts, and of course, ink colors. Decide on which pieces you need, your quantity, etc. Because each of our designs is printed on an individual basis, we can customize it just for you. You'll have a chance to change things around before the final piece is printed, so if you have a couple of different ideas, that's okay. Also, think about the wording you want to use–we can definitely help, but it's a good time to think about it.

Place Your Order

Once you've made your big decisions, contact us to place your order. You can contact us by phone at 510-228-7697, email us at info@threebellspress.com. We'll send you a pdf order form, which you can fill out and email back. Once we have the ordering details, we'll send you a contract, which you can fill out and either mail back or email back. Note that we require a 50% deposit before we begin working on your suite.

Proofs

Ok, now the fun begins. Within 3 days of your deposit and contract, you'll receive a color pdf of your design via email. Be sure to look it over for any typos or misspellings. We are very thorough, and we want things to be perfect, but we could make mistakes. You'll have up to three rounds of proofs to be certain that all is just as you'd like it.

Some very important things to look for in your proof:
Are all the names spelled correctly?
Are all the addresses correct, down to the zip code?
Are the dates and times correct?
Is all the information clear?

Your Invitations

Once you've given us the final go ahead, we'll turn your design into a beautiful letterpress printed wedding invitation suite. Your invitation will be ready to ship within 10 business days of the design approval. We require the remaining balance at this time. UPS ground shipping is included in our cost, or contact us to arrange expedited shipping. Then just sit back and wait to receive a very lovely package.
